This is a very nice picture of orchids. I love orchids a lot. I was talking with a friend the other day and we were commenting that when we go to shops, the orchids have very nice blooms. But once I buy them, the blossoms wilt after a week or so and they usually never bloom again. We have a ladies slipper that was given by a friend and we had been tending to it as best as we can. It never bloomed for the last 5 years!
oh I have the exact same problem with indoor Orchids. These ones were here when I moved in over a year ago. They’ve been out under the pine trees for a long time by the look of them, and they flower really well. But if I buy nice Orchid plants and have them inside they do exactly as you’ve described. I have no idea why except maybe it’s because they’ve been raised in a hot house or something and our homes cannot copy that environment.
HI thanks for ‘liking’ my photo! Yours is lovely also, such beautiful flowers and growing outside, I’m very envious, couldn’t possibly grow them here except indoors in a pot.
Hi Gilly I guess I’m pretty lucky to live in a part of New Zealand where we have pretty good winters. I think we’ve only had one really cold week so far and we never get snow in our area. Also, the orchids are growing under a row of very large Pine trees, so are fairly sheltered.
Hi Ronnie Thanks for visiting. I’m glad you like the Orchids. I picked these ones before they were even open as the ants seem to like them and destroy them once they open. Anyway, I saved these ones and they’ve been looking great on our kitchen divider for weeks.

About this Blog
Hi! This blog is about me and my life. It started out as a way of keeping my friends and family in far off places up to date with what we're doing. Since then more people have started following along and that's great. I love taking photos and doing the various challenges, but as with most peoples lives, sometimes there just isn't anything going on worth talking about! I would love to hear from my readers so please comment as much as you like and I'll try and answer everyone.
Hi, This is Great work ! And will personally suggest it to my friends. Thanks a million and please keep up the rewarding work. Thank you.
Thank you
