Art Deco Week in Napier NZ – a few cars
Today I got to see the workings of a court room from the inside. No, I wasn’t on trial, and No, I wasn’t on dury duty. We had to go in because we are fighting with the city council over our swimming pool and it’s lack of a fence. Just saying it like that makes it sound like we’re disobeying the law, but we’re not. Our pool complies with the act exactly, but the council do not think that is good enough. Anyway, we have to go back on the 29th of February. So we’ll see what happens then.
After that we went to a lunch in Napier with some folks we know and who we are joining on a campaigne. I won’t go into the details just yet but I’ll let you know when it starts. We stopped in to visit Perry’s parents on the way home and got home late afternoon. It was a VERY long day.
Art Deco week started in Napier today. I managed to get some photos of a few of the cars and on Saturday there is a parade which I’d like to go and watch and photograph. Some of the outfits the people were dressed up in were gorgeous, and I’d love to get photos of them. Here are the cars I got today:

Hey Brenda,
Thanks for all the updates. I had no idea you were from Hastings, I actually lived in Napier. What a small world.
Thanks again for all the freebies

Hi Trish
yes, it certainly is a small world. The Bay has certainly changed since last time I lived here. I hardly recognise anything!
